Samsung Galaxy S III to launch in April?

21 March 2012

Next big superphone should be out by summer

Samsung's long-awaited Galaxy S III could launch next month, as the tech rumour mill, bereft of iProducts to gossip about, tries out an Android-oriented tale instead.

No particular reason has been mooted as underpinning a comment by Samsung China President Kim Young Ha that the Galaxy S III could be launched in April instead of May - though it does mean its shelf date would hit just in time for that rather large sporting event going on in the UK capital this summer.

This next big Android superphone has been the subject of numerous spec and photo leaks, even as Samsung cancelled its official press conference at Mobile World Congress and said the S III would get its own launch event 'sometime in Q2'.

That time, we hope, is just next month.
