HTC One V available from 23 April

17 April 2012

Carphone Warehouse offers mid-range Android for £20.50 per month

In our recent review of the HTC One V, we described the phone as 'a bargain'. You can see how much of a bargain with all the network prices now available via Carphone Warehouse.

Those prices aren't as cheap as the one an online retailer came up with last week, but as ever, you probably want to check the small print and allowances before signing up. Saying that, the high street price is still a tempting offer, especially as the HTC One V comes with Ice Cream Sandwich from the off.

Carphone Warehouse is offering the phone from 23 April, but is taking orders now and offering the phone 'free' on the Orange, Vodafone and O2 networks. Orange comes in the cheapest of those, with £20.50 getting you a deal with 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB of data, but you'll have to sign for 24 months. Other variations are also listed (including a similar deal with 500MB of data), so if you are interested, see the full breakdown on the Carphone Warehouse site. You can also pick one up for around £230 SIM-free.

As for the phone itself, it brings back the 'chin' from the HTC Legend design and offers up a 3.7-inch touch-screen, a 1GHz processor, a five-megapixel camera, 4GB of RAM, Beats Audio technology and, as we mentioned, the latest version of Android for the operating system. As we said at the start, something of a bargain and yours from next week, if you fancy it.
